95% of the book was really great. It tells about their childhood lives, their music careers, their marriage and their personal growth through various challenges they faced. At the end they turned it into a diatribe in favor of Christianity, which detracted from the overall quality of the book, especially because in the earlier sections they describe how they were put off by the advances of other friends who tried at various points to convert them to Jee-zus. But it seems like the publisher and/or the "ghost writer" was motivated by trying to use their fame to sell more Christian missionary snake-oil. If you skip that part, it's well worth reading. My Wife and I love this Music of the Day, and Today, NostalgiaWell what can I say about Billy Davis & Marilyn McCoo except FABULOUS!!!! their voices have gotten better with time, even tho they were perfect 20 yrs....I've played this tape over and over agin...I have such enjoyment driving listening to the songs I love.....I've also bought it for my friends who love them as much as I do.....I can feel their love for each other as they sing.......this is a keeper! Not greatGift.Being a Kid the 5th dimension and I go a long way back. Marilyn McCoo and Bily Davis Jr were the leading voices on most of the groups 10 year of hits. As the left the group and launched their solo Career they went to straight to top with "You Don't have To Be Star" and placed another Grammy on their shelf. As their 2nd lp was in release ABC records got out of the record business and the project was lost. Off To Columbia the last McCoo Davis Lp (till this one) was released on Columbia Records. (Marilyn was the first to record "Saving all my love for you) on that project, sadly that project didn't catch fire and not till 2008 did we get a NEW McCoo Davis project. The Good news is McCoo and Davis are still great singers and that magic is still there. Now, this is a project of cover songs (and I think none past 1990) I would have liked a little more curent or new material, but it is what it is and if you grew up loving the 5th dimension you will enjoy this cd.Marilyn and Billy's voices are more amazing than ever. If you are any kind of fan, you will love it. If you are not any kind of fan, you will love it, too. After a long absense from the recording world, husband and wife team Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. are back with a all new collection of the love songs. I could not be more pleased. Marilyn McCoo is one of the greatest gifts a song has ever received. Her phrasing and vocals are simply priceless and this collection shows she has not lost a thing. Her sultry version of "This Girl's In Love In Love With You" is spine tingling and when she updates "Never My Love", you will be brought to tears!Billy Davis Jr. is not the talent his wife is, but Marilyn more than makes up for this on the duets and her outstanding solo selections. Add this CD to your collection now!Its been a long time coming - but well worth it. Good material and their voices are as good as ever - waiting for the next one.
